Late Night Art Bytes Workshop and Lecture
Friday May 20, 2016 – Daryl teaches a hands-on, art making experience of creating an image by using the technique of Japanese woodblock printmaking. Each participant was able to ink their own block and pull their own print in this 45 min workshop put on by the DMA and presented by Daryl.

Saturday May 21, 2016 – In this sold out, 2 hour workshop, put on by the DMA, Daryl presents a touch of history behind the Japanese Woodblock Print and, instructs participants on the step-by-step process of creating, carving and printing their own woodblocks. What a great success it was, with every one working so hard to produce some amazing prints!

Wednesday May 25, 2016 – Daryl shares the history of Japanese Woodblock Printmaking, its influence on the western world and the family who brought this ancient, dying art form, back to life. Hiroshi Yoshida was the most outstanding Shin-Hanga woodblock printmaker of his time. He was proceeded by a family of artists and printmakers, including his son, Hodaka Yoshida, the man who Daryl studied under.
