I was awarded the “Best in Show”, 2-d, at Art City Austin on April 12. I also received the “Best in Media”. The award was selected by Ann Wilson, acting director of The Blanton Museum of Art, and Dana Friis-Hansen, Executive Director of the Austin Museum of Art. This is a huge honor as an exhibiting artist. This is my 31st year to exhibit at this venue, formerly “Fiesta” at Laguna Gloria Art Museum, formerly “The Austin Fine Art Festival” downtown Austin at Republic Square with proceeds benefiting The Blanton Museum of Art and The Austin Museum of Art and currently on the bank of Lady Bird Lake with the same beneficiaries as Republic Square. It was a beautiful spring weekend.
